AMML Reading Challenge

You are invited to a reading challenge by the Al Maktoum Medical Library.

March has been declared as the Month of Reading by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. So it’s time to hit the books, increase your knowledge and delve into great literature.

We hope you’ll join the Al Maktoum Medical Library Reading Challenge and have fun, enlighten yourself in the process and share your recommendations with other readers.

The guidelines are simple:

  • Registration is required to participate, you may click the following link to register, Reading Challenge Registration
  • Choices of what to read are up to you as long as you submit the information about the book to the library.
  • E-books and print books are eligible for the challenge.
  • Read as many as books possible during March 2018 – February 2019.
  • Read any book, but we hope you’ll see what’s available at the Al Maktoum Medical Library and check it out!
  • Each time you finish reading a book, note down the book title, author, publication information etc and send to the library’s email address, library@mbru.ac.ae.
  • The AMML team will review all submissions.
  • All registered members will be invited for a reader’s forum in the library that will be held quarterly.
  • Readers Forum will provide an opportunity for the readers to share the reading experience and share recommendations with other readers.
  • Librarians will suggest most popular titles to the registered readers on monthly basis.
  • Prize drawings will take place on the month of March, the person who has read the most books will be announced as winner and preference will be given to active members
  • Winners will be announced via the library’s website and will receive an award and prize.
